「窓」をテーマに絵画と論文を制作

それは物理的には部屋の窓であり、精神的には人間を隔てるまたは開け放つ心の窓を意味する。

壁との対話から始めて、やがて窓をつくり、空気を循環させて外界の自然と向き合う

キャンバス自体を窓に見立てて、パノラマ式に＜流れる＞ように描かれた風景は、空間と時間を超えて、鑑賞者に向かって静かに迫って来る。

Art works and an essay are made on the theme of  ”window.”

It is a window of the room physically and means the window of the heart which separates or opens man wide mentally.

A window is built starting with a dialog with a wall, air is circulated, and the nature of the external world is faced.

It presses for the scenery drawn like of the canvas itself with a window and <flowing> into a panorama type, calmly toward an appreciation person exceeding space and time.

A solo exhibition and a group exhibition are held in both South Korea and Japan.

甲府市生まれ　大阪で絵画を学び　ロンドンへ

そこでよりコンセプチュアル・アートに傾倒したという森村

印刷物に刷り込まれた無数の活字を　白い修正液で塗りつぶして　H,O,P,E 　４文字だけを浮き上がらせた。

前回案内をもらった東京での個展（２００９年）[Dear Thomas]を見逃したので

今回初めて作品に触れ作家に会うことができた。

日頃見慣れた日常の風景を　シニカルかつナンセンスに料理する。

床一面に敷きつめられた作品は壮観だ

HOPEの轍は　床を覆いつくして 増殖を重ねて　迫ってくる

作品を床に置いて制作しているという作家にとっては　一番自然な展示方法だ

しかし現代が希望に満ちた時代なら　アーティストは希望を敢えて浮き上がらせることはないだろうな

そんな憂慮はものともせずに

何千回　何万回と　希望をさがして一心にくりかえす行為

そのことにわたしたちは希望を感じる。

However, if it is  the present time filled with hope an artist does not dare to float hope.

He is undaunted by such worries.

1000 times 10,000 times -  Hope is looked for and it is repeated act to one mind.

We feel hope for that.

Recently AIRY visited the delicious Cafe M to see an exhibition of Kamijo Akitaka. We sat on the decking next to Lake Saiko and chatted to the humble artist about his work and inspirations.

Living nearby to Lake Saiko, the artists house and studio is completely surrounded by forest. It is this environment that the artists draws inspiration from and depicts in his paintings, drawings and small sculptures.

先日、ＣａｆｅＭで上條暁隆展をみてきた。西湖畔にあるこのカフェのデッキに座って、彼の作品やインスピレーションについて話した。湖畔に住んでいる上條の自宅とスタジオは完全に森の中だ。その環境の中で作家は、絵を描いたりドローイングをしたり、小さな彫刻を制作している。

His most recent work also uses collage, and this medium works perfectly for him in playfully layering landscape and narrative. He finds it interesting to pull details from one piece to the next, and note the changes it creates in both works.

彼の最新作はコラージュを使ったもので、風景や物語を楽しげに重ねて表現したこの作品だ。元の作品からコラージュ作品へと発展するおもしろさを見つけたようだ。

横浜市みなとみらい線の馬車道駅から徒歩２分、横浜港を見下ろす一等地のビル４階に丸山純子のスタジオはある。今回の長期間プロジェクトはヨコトリ関連企画で、横浜市市役所の移転予定地全体を使ったスケールの大きなもの、廃油石けんで描かれた地上絵を、同ビル８階の特等席から窓外に見せる。

Junko inhabits an interesting studio space on the 8th floor of a high rise building in Yokohama. It is shared with 3 other artists working across different mediums. This space is an active hub of creation, and the kind of space being encouraged in Yokohama in recent days.

都市生活の中に突然うまれた巨大花は

雨に打たれ風に吹かれて、夏から秋へと季節をこえて

周辺の高層ビルから、観覧車から、ランドマークタワーから

日々その姿を変えながら３ヶ月間咲き続けた。

訪問した１１月４日はほぼ会期最終時期で、初期のやわらかい花イメージからは随分変化していた。直線的なシャープな線が増えていて、３ヶ月に及ぶユートピア育ての奮闘と時間の経過を感じる。

ドヤ  ガ-ルズ / Doya girls

Recently, Mizu and Chie undertook a residency at Kotobuki-cho in Yokohama. Kotobuki is a significantly poor and estranged area of the city, mainly inhabited by members of society with little money and limited family. Residents of Kotobuki live in small Doya’s (apartments) no more than 3 tatami mats wide, and mostly depend on government payments and the discounted food available at local supermarkets.

Mizu and Chie offered a look inside this sometimes ignored area, creating strong connections with members of the community, and showing visitors the strength and qualities of these locals. An experience of Mizu and Chies tour, including a look inside there studios and meeting locals, shows the power of art for making connections, and the beauty and strength in areas and people often overlooked.

Thank you to Mizu and Chie for showing us this place and making our lives richer for the experience.

Mizu is a young artist creating drawings, sculpture and installation.

Her works often reference the passage of time, and the impermanence of materials.

While living at AIRY, Mizu made jewels from gelatine and her own bath water, and wove noodles together by hand, allowing them to dry in patterns that looked like lace or webs.

She delivered these objects to an abandoned Chinese restaurant nearby where her installation grew each day.

The artwork contained moss, rocks, jewels, eating utensils, food tins, kanji characters from Majan, and the knitted noodles.

Mizu invited visitors to move the kanji characters and create a new environment.

Mizu is now busy working on an interesting new project with Chie.

ミズはドローイング・彫刻・インスタレーションの若いアーティストだ。

時間の経過や、はかなく消えゆく物質感を表現する。

ＡＩＲＹ滞在中彼女は自分の浸かった風呂の湯をゼラチンで固めて宝石をつくったり、乾燥するとレースや蜘蛛の巣のようにみえる作品を茹でたそうめんから編み上げて、それらを廃業した中華料理店へ運び込んだ。作品はコケ、岩、宝石、料理道具、食品缶、マージャン牌、そうめん編みなどから構成される。

また、彼女は展示場への訪問者を受け入れて、その結果マージャン牌などが動かされることで新たな雰囲気が生まれた。

ミズは現在、幸田千依と新しいアート・プロジェクトを立ち上げ中、こうご期待！

 



 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Chie is a talented young artist from Tokyo who lived with us at AIRY for the duration of Kofu Arts Festival.

 

She spent every day working on a painting at an installation space in Kofu City.

 

Often painting scenes of people playing in swimming pools, Chie shows the colours and washes of the waters surface beautifully through sensitive use of oil paint and medium.

 

This piece displays light and shade, and built up each day, offering people the chance to see the work in progress.

 

Seeing her painting this piece was interesting because it was as if she was swimming in the layers of paint herself.

チエは「こうふの街の芸術祭」期間中ＡＩＲＹへ滞在した、東京出身の若き才能溢れるアーティストだ。彼女は、会場である甲府市中心街の旧中尾医院へ毎日通って、絵画を制作した。

彼女の絵はスイミンング・プールで泳ぐ人々が多いのだが、オイルとアクリルを繊細に使い分けて、水面の水しぶきの表現が美しい。この作品の光と影が日々重ねられていく、まさに進行形を会場訪問者

は目撃することができる。さらに興味深いのは、彼女自身が色の重なりのなかで泳いでいるように見えるからだろう。

Hachio is a prolific artist who works in drawing, painting and performance, created through free expression and intuition.

He is interested in the power of the imagination and creation.

In the week leading up to Kofu Arts Festival, Hachio stayed at AIRY, and painted day and night in the gallery. He worked energetically to create 16 individual canvases to be installed at Zuisenji Temple nearby.

Each piece was an abstract representation of a flower, and together made a bouquet delivered to the Shrine.

Hachio’s contemporary works use bright colours and dynamic form and are rich in spirit.

八雄は、自由な表現や直感力を通してドローイング、ペインティング、パフォーマンスなど多くを生み出すアーティストだ。彼は想像と創造に興味があるといえる。「こうふのまちの芸術祭」へ向けての一週間、彼はＡＩＲＹに滞在したのだが、昼も夜も精力的に描き続けた。そして１６枚のキャンヴァスを仕上げて市内の瑞泉時へ展示した。

一枚づつは抽象的な花を現し、１６枚がいっしょになると寺に供えられる花束になるという趣向。八雄の明るい色とダイナミックな構成からなる現代美術作品は、豊かな精神性をも備えているのだ。サイトで彼の作品をもっと見ることができます。

「こんなところに日本人ー標高２１００メートル山岳村たった一人の日本美女」　（ＴＶ朝日番組表から）で昨夜放映されました。本人いわく「こんなところに・・・とは失礼な!　的を得てはいるが（笑）」

実は今年２０１０年７月キルギス訪問時に彼女の自宅を訪ねて、ボランティアとして２００７年渡航するまでは、日本近代美術研究者・学芸員として福岡美術館を中心に活動していたことを知りました。番組では日本からナリン市までの道のりを、レポーターが苦労して辿ることにほとんど時間が使われて肝心の陽子さんの日々の生活報告はわずかでしたが、夏は改装中だった自宅二階が完成したことや、お目にかかれなかったご主人ジャナルベックさんの姿もあり、すっかり冬景色に変わった山岳地帯の美しさに目はＴＶに釘付け。

今秋にはＪＩＣＡ隊員村松なぎさ主催の「アルシュ村祭り」http://theway2kyrgyzstan.blogspot.com/とのコラボレーションで「ナリン・アート・フェスティバル」実施、中央アジアの地で改めて彼女のアート魂がフツフツと蘇ってきています注目！
