I make dimensional (spatial) sculptures that by the use of specific materials and form will look architectural.
These sculptures are translated into models and structures. On the one hand I make structures that are intended to make the space to bend to another kind of space. In this way i try to make the space more interesting. And with my models I create new spaces inspired by already existing spaces nearby or in memories. My interest is paid to the architecture that is not designed but created by its user. Here you see mostly cheaper materials and simple visible structures that have a specific purpose in mind.
For AIRY I made a structure that leads to a model. I have let myself be guided by the materials that are specific to this area in particular. I chose to work with 2 different kind of plastic. A material that you encounter especially in the slums of japan or behind houses and for there very specific look. In addition, I have been inspired by the story of the old tea houses with their low entrance and also by the many light signs you see on the facades of the shops and restaurants. All these influences I have brought together in this sculpture.
I choose for the solid look in my model that i become by using one material/color for the whole sculpture in a thight form as you can perceive it in a prototype/model. Hereby i also close the windows and the doors and so i suddenly also accentuate the abandon situation i was inspired from. This is a way of working that I have already used in previous works.

私は様々な素材と形態を使い、建築的とも言える大きな彫刻を制作しています。これらの彫刻は、模型でもあり建造物でもあります。ある空間を、これまでとまったく違う空間に変えてしまう建造物をつくり、その空間をより興味深いものにしていきます。すでに存在する身の回りの空間や記憶の中の空間に刺激を受けて、さらに新しい空間を模型で表現するのです。私にとって建築的関心は、特別にデザインされたものよりは元々の住人によってつくられたものの中にあります。だから格安の素材と単純な建造物が、見る人の心に特別なものとして残るのです。
今回のＡＩＲＹ滞在では、模型に通ずる建造物をつくりました。この地域で入手可能な特有な素材を使ってみることにしました。それは２種類のプラスティック素材で、日本の裏町や家々のうしろ側で偶然見つけるようなものです。形態については、伝統的な茶室の小さな入り口（にじり口）に関する話しと
日本の商店やレストランの建物にたくさんの看板や照明がつけられていることに触発されました。これらの印象をこの彫刻に表現したのです。
私はこの建造物をがっしりとしたものに見せるために、外観を一つの素材と一つの色に限定したので、模型としての原型を感知することができます。同時に窓と扉はすべて閉ざされていて、甲府のまちで見た空き家やシャッター街の印象が反映されています。このような方法で、私はすでに多くの作品を発表してきました。
