Mizu is a young artist creating drawings, sculpture and installation.

Her works often reference the passage of time, and the impermanence of materials.

While living at AIRY, Mizu made jewels from gelatine and her own bath water, and wove noodles together by hand, allowing them to dry in patterns that looked like lace or webs.

She delivered these objects to an abandoned Chinese restaurant nearby where her installation grew each day.

The artwork contained moss, rocks, jewels, eating utensils, food tins, kanji characters from Majan, and the knitted noodles.

Mizu invited visitors to move the kanji characters and create a new environment.

Mizu is now busy working on an interesting new project with Chie.

ミズはドローイング・彫刻・インスタレーションの若いアーティストだ。

時間の経過や、はかなく消えゆく物質感を表現する。

ＡＩＲＹ滞在中彼女は自分の浸かった風呂の湯をゼラチンで固めて宝石をつくったり、乾燥するとレースや蜘蛛の巣のようにみえる作品を茹でたそうめんから編み上げて、それらを廃業した中華料理店へ運び込んだ。作品はコケ、岩、宝石、料理道具、食品缶、マージャン牌、そうめん編みなどから構成される。

また、彼女は展示場への訪問者を受け入れて、その結果マージャン牌などが動かされることで新たな雰囲気が生まれた。

ミズは現在、幸田千依と新しいアート・プロジェクトを立ち上げ中、こうご期待！
