５月１３日（日）まちあるきから始めます

こうふのまちの芸術祭２０１２　 www.kofuart.net

今年のフライヤー第一弾の印刷が上がり、甲府市中心街の店々をめぐってお店にフライヤーを置いてもらってます。その途中で見つけたうれしい２題。

まずはＰ画材店で見覚えあるこの文字に再会、入り口ガラス窓にケイト自筆の募集中ポスターを発見。「帰国するって本人から聞いたけど、またすぐ戻ってくると思って・・」　それでお店の方は、帰国後２ヶ月を過ぎた今でもポスターを貼ってくれていたのでした。

I found out this poster at the door of  Pekin-do shop today it was written by Kate, nice to see her letters again.

６ヶ月間ＡＩＲＹで、アーティストとしてインターンシップとして過ごしたケイト

長期滞在を生かして、街に人々にとけ込む努力をした　そして甲府の街に愛された

最終段階成果発表では、自らキュレーター／アーティストとして山梨とメルボルンを結ぶ交流展を企画実施。

甲府の街の人々の暖かさと可能性を彼女を通して感じることができた　感謝！

レジデント・アーティストを迎える時は本当に来てくれるのか不安、出会い共に活動する時間とともに分かり合い、別れるときは寂しさに駆られる・・いつもその繰り返し

そして次の出会いを求めてまた歩き出す。

Kate who passed as internship as an artist in at AIRY  six months

Taking advantage of the lengthier stay, an effort to melt into people in a town was made.   And it was loved in the town in Kofu.

It is plan implementation about the exchange exhibition which connects Melbourne with a final stage result announcement to Yamanashi as a curator/an artist itself.

People’s warmth and possibility of the town of Kofu were able to be felt through her.   Gratitude!

When greeting a resident artist, it understands mutually whether you really come with insecurity and time to meet and work, and when separating, lonesomeness runs. — It is always the repetition.

And  begin to walk in quest of the next encounter again.

５月に入って暖かい日が続くと、夏野菜植え付け時期です。連休中は苗もの屋さんやホームセンターでいろいろな苗を見かけますね。

山梨は農業県ですから、くだものも野菜も自然の恵みがいっぱい！特にこれからの季節は秋まで農作業に事欠きません。農業に興味あるアーティストさんぜひお出でください！

ＡＩＲＹに滞在してアート制作の合間に農作業はどうですか？甲府市内南部にある農場へ案内します。お店に並ぶ前の新鮮で安全な野菜は、サイコーのごちそう。春はいちご、夏野菜、秋のぶどう・柿・サツマイモなどなど種類も豊富ですよ～自分で収穫して料理する楽しみもまた格別。ＡＩＲＹは各部屋キッチン付きですので、お一人でまた何人かでお料理も可能です。自慢の新鮮野菜のおいしさをぜひ多くの人に知ってもらいたいです！！！

エッセイ　「ケーリ・ノーマンを迎えて」

彼女の視点にとても興味をそそられた。

地球の内側で起こるエネルギー　-地震、火山活動を含め、非永続的に繰り返されているその変化を、私たち人間の内なる部分での動きと重ね合わせ、制作テーマに。

そこからさらに進んで彼女は、人類が叡智を集結させ発明した文明、現代に至る技術産業により引き起こされる弊害、負の遺産への警戒を呼びかけようとしていた。母国ニュージーランド、そして昨年日本を襲った大地震は、私たちの記憶の中でも新しく恐ろしい。この世に実在するすべての現象が不変的ではないこと、変わりやすく脆いこと、この哲学を彼女は、禅の教えに見つけた。ここで、日本へ焦点が絞られ今回の来日へと繋がった訳であるが、このエピソードを語るケーリーは穏やかでまっすぐだった。実際に座禅を組みに円光院へと赴いたケーリーは、今の日本の禅のあり方に、現代の日本人を取り巻く環境に、何を感じたのだろうか。

静かにうごめく大地と、忙しく過ぎ去る私の日常生活、ケーリーと語り合えた数日間はとても貴重だった。ふと学生時代に戻りたくなった。夢中で文献を探し、文明とは、人間とは、自然とは？と我武者羅に学問しようとしていたあの頃に。

Spending time with Ceallaigh Norman

I am strongly interested in her point of view.

Her theme focused on the similarities between the energy that lies beneath the surface of the earth which includes earthquakes, volcanic activities that always occur evanescently and the movement of inner parts of humans.

Furthermore, she tried to appeal to people that there are negative heritages which were caused by civilization and technical industries. Memories of the recent earthquakes in New Zealand and Japan are new and awful. Every phenomenon is unstable and evanescent; she found this philosophy in the discipline of Zen. This is the direct reason why she came to Japan. I listened to her tell all these stories and found her to be calm and honest.

She went to Enko-in Temple to practice the meditation of Zazen; I wonder what she realized there and what she felt in the atmosphere of Japan.

I recall the days spent with Ceallaugh Norman and think about the land wriggling quietly as my daily life passed so quickly.

Suddenly, I became nostalgic while remembering my student days when I was eager to learn about nature, civilization, and what it means to be human.

ケーリーと富士山麓訪問でうれしい再会がありました

亜美里＆葉音の姉妹がかつてつくった作品が山中湖周辺うどんや「天めん」に！！！

富士吉田市、山中湖周辺ではうどんやでの食事が欠かせませんが、今回はホトリニテ訪問で小径に迷い込み、偶然みつけた「天めん」の看板。姉妹の母の実家であるこのうどんやさん・・・以前生麺をいただいてからずっと来たかった「天めん」

姉妹の作品をお店に展示してくれていて、何年ぶりかに再会というおまけ付きのうれしさ！！！

ありがとう「天めん」の天野さん、鳥好きの姉妹はよく鳥の絵を描いていたな～そんなお孫さんの作品を誇らしげにお店に飾ってくださる天野さんを尊敬します！

うどんサイコーにおいしかった～ちくわの天ぷらも・・・またうどん食べに行きます。

ケーリー・ノーマン　ラストパフォーマンス

ケーリー・ノーマン＋「結晶」kessho

来日から約３週間のあいだに採取した日本のイメージをもとに、結晶メンバーとともに最終パフォーマンスをいたします。長崎・広島・山梨での体験や出会った人々との交流をもとにつくりあげます。５月５日離日前の最終パフォーマンスです。短い期間ではありましたが、AIRY滞在中は春祭りへの参加・富士山麓散策・県立美術館でのギャラリートーク・座禅会参加などがありました。

ニュージーランド出身でオーストラリア在住のケーリーが、山梨のアーティストたちとの出会いを経て、環太平洋地震地帯の地層を掘り下げます。

Based on the image of Japan which extracted among about three weeks from the visit to Japan, she does the last performance with  CRYSTAL member.

It completes based on experience in Nagasaki, Hiroshima, and Yamanashi or the exchange with people who met.

It is the last performance before May 5 departure from Japan.

Although it was a short period, meditation-in-Zen-Buddhism meeting participation,  the Mt. Fuji foot walk, and prefectural art museum gallery talk, a spring festival participation during AIRY stay.

It is from New Zealand and now living in Australia investigates the stratum of the Pacific rim earthquake zone through encounter with the artists of Yamanashi.

The performance was divided into two parts by interval

They had some meetings before the performance even Ceallaigh’s residency was short, 2 weeks at AIRY.

In the second part Ceallaigh usesd the sound resource taken Hiroshima and Nagasaki where she visited before coming to Yamanashi. Nagasaki is an important place where her father stayed there on Aug 1945 as a British Navy. It was Ceallaigh’s first visiting Japan but had many meanings for her. Follow father’s history and atomic bomb, experience Japanese culture & landscape, know the local artists & art scene.

Ceallaigh Norman new video sound installation art work that is using new taken resouces from Japan life will be exhibited in KOFU ART FESTIVAL 22 Sep-8OCT!!!

２週間の短期滞在ではありましたが、結晶との事前のうち合わせと音出しをもとに、わくわくする実験的演奏を披露してくれました。前半では、ケーリーのこれまでのビデオ・サウンド作品をベースに結晶の二人がコラボレーション。後半では、ケーリーが山梨へ来る前に訪ねた広島・長崎で採取した音を中心に演奏。今回彼女は初来日、父は英国海軍兵士として１９４５年８月長崎に駐留した経緯からも、来るべきして叶った来日と言ってよいでしょう。地質学的にみる環太平洋地震地帯研究、葛飾北斎「富岳３６景」の生活者観察への興味、メルボルン日常生活での座禅経験から醸し出されるもの。ギター依田、ポエトリー・リーディング山下との新しい挑戦が結晶した時。

今回の日本生活で採取した映像と音をもとにした新作品を、９月２２～１０月８日「甲府のまちの芸術祭」で発表することがきまりました！！！

環太平洋火山地帯で火山活動と地下の音に焦点をあてて

留まることのない自然の現象を神秘的な映像と幻想的な音でつづります。

ニュージーランド出身メルボルン在住の作家ケーリーは

ダイナミックな自然観を持って人間の影の部分に光を当てようとしています。

It divided in the morning and the afternoon on both sides of the opening party, and planned the gallery talk.

Ｃｅａｌｌａｉｇｈ shows and tells　her artwork in an afternoon part.

Focus on the sound of volcanic activity and underground in the Pacific rim volcanic region.

The natural phenomenon in which it does not stop is spelled to a mystical image and a visionary sound.

Ceallaigh is living in Melbourn and native New Zealand.

It is going to apply light to the portion of human’s shadow with a dynamic outlook on nature.

The day of the marriage ceremony of Nagisa & Mitch who waited to wait

It is a wedding reception in the Kofu Tokiwa Hotel.

Dressing in white looks beautiful SHIROMUKU  in the fresh green of a hotel courtyard, and it is as beautiful as dazzling.

なぎさんは織物作家　ＡＩＲＹの通訳者（英語、キルギス語）としても大活躍

ミッチは若き建築家　ＡＩＲＹアパートの初代管理人として２００９－１０年居住

ＡＩＲ活動の理解者であり大きな協力者です。

Nagisa is a textile artist and  also as a translator (English, Kirghiz) at AIRY.

Mitch is a young　architect reside as the first janitor of an AIRY apartment for 2009-10 year.

They are understanding persons of AIR activity and big cooperators.

The secondary meeting in the Nezu Memorial Hall is the full dress of the ethnic costume brought home from Kyrgyz!

Those with a komusu performance   Delicious ethnic food   It is full of a handmade feeling.

It appreciates on enjoyed fully the reception which was filled with the heart.
