現在、ウィスコンシン州ライスレイク市、ウィスコンシン・バロンカントリー大学にて助教授を勤める。

作品は地元や、アメリカ各地で展示、紹介され、これまでにニューヨーク、ロサンジェルス、ヴァージニア州リッチモンドにて展示会開催彼女の作品は、遊び心と何かへの憧れが入り交じるものである。例えばグリッター（装飾用の素材）のような、いわゆる典型的な美術作品用の素材ではないものを用い、それらの可能性を作品に投影するため、彼女自身はペインティング、ドローウィングの材料の素質に興味を持つ。作品は、非具象的であり、形にとらわれない、と賞賛される。彼女の興味は、偶然性と計画性との狭間を探検しているようでもある。

Ginnie Baer is currently Assistant Professor of Art at the University of Wisconsin-Barron County in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. She obtained her BFA (Painting and Drawing) from the Ohio State University and her MFA (Painting and Printmaking) from Virginia Commonwealth University. She has taught various art courses at The Ohio State University, Columbus State Community College, and Denison University and was a member of a Columbus based arts group, the Couch fire Collective. Her work has been shown locally and nationally including exhibitions in New York, Los Angeles and Richmond, VA.Ginnie’s work is a hybrid of playfulness and longing. Experimenting with pop/craft materials, such as glitter, she works to push them past typical associations into other arenas. She is interested in the inherent capabilities of painting and drawing materials. Much of her current work is an investigation and celebration of non-objective and/or natural forms. She is interested in exploring the relationship between the accidental and the intentional.
