Eliassons practice is based on physical and historical imprints of cultural events in the form of objects, images and figures.

By placing together previously separated events and ideas, Eliasson seeks to create new narratives in her sculptural installations.

作家は、オブジェ・映像・人物像など文化行事の身体的かつ歴史的足跡に基づいて制作する。

元々は別な出来事や発想を並列させることで、作家は彫刻的インスタレーションにおいて新しい物語を紡いでいる。

このワークショップでは、日本のストリートを模したミニアチュア・ガーデンを作家と参加者がいっしょに作ります。

スウェーデン人作家エリアソンが感じる日本のHAKONIWAとはどんなものでしょうか？

参加者が持ち寄った小さなパーツを、トレースや版画技法を用いて複製します。

それらを合わせて配置することで最終的に９０ｘ６０㎝のHAKONIWAを完成させます。

花、葉、木の小枝、石、キャンディーや紙のような小さな都会のゴミをこのワークショップに持ってきてください。

Welcome to join HAKONIWA workshop with Swedish artist Sofia Eliasson

currently artist in residency at AIRY, Kofu. 

Eliasson´s work partly evolves around imprint and trace and for this workshop we will together create a miniature garden that imitate our surrounding streets. Please bring for this workshop, something you can bring from the street, may it be flowers, leafs, a small wooden twig, stones or small urban trash like candy wrapping or paper.
